Beyond the ordinary

My journey in midwifery has been shaped by a broad range of experience across midwifery in hospital, Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) practice, teaching midwifery education and antenatal classes for mama. I have managed the maternity unit at North shore hospital for the past 6 years. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the many different needs, choices and pathways women and whānau may experience throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

Alongside my midwifery background, I have training and experience in HypnoBirthing, mindfulness and acupuncture, which complement my approach to supporting women through pregnancy and birth.

I believe every pregnancy and birth is unique. My role is to listen, provide information, explain your options and support you to make informed decisions about your care. i love being part of birthing people's journey and advocating for their choice.

Midwifery care

Every pregnancy is different, and so is every woman/birthing person, baby and whānau. We take the time to get to know you, listen to what matters to you, and understand how we can best support you throughout your journey.

Our midwifery care is warm, personalised and supportive, with a focus on helping you feel heard, informed and confident in your choices.

From your first appointment through pregnancy, birth and the early days with your baby, we’re here to walk alongside you — offering guidance, reassurance, practical support and a safe space to ask questions and explore your options.

Your journey. Your choices. Your birth. Your whānau

What we do

An LMC (Lead Maternity Carer) midwife is your main midwife throughout your pregnancy, birth and the first 4–6 weeks after your pēpi is born. Your midwife coordinates your maternity care and works alongside hospital midwives, obstetricians and other health professionals if you or your pēpi need additional care.
